Order SelectorFull time 2nd shift from 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This position is Temporary through Winter 2027. Job SummaryAs an Order Selector at Corewell Health, you will play a critical role in our warehouse operations. Your primary responsibility is to efficiently select, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipping. This physically demanding role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment. You will perform a variety of duties involved in equipment, materials, linens and supplies for an assigned area. Tasks may include inventory, inventory selection, stocking, receiving, delivering and other similar functions to ensure supplies and materials are readily available at various locations. Utilizes computer-based inventory management system to perform daily functions. Works closely with other team members from supply chain and staff throughout the system to provide exceptional care for our customers.Essential FunctionsRead customer orders carefully to understand specificationsLocate and select specific warehouse items based on order requirementsUse forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to stack items and prepare orders for shippingEnsure accuracy in order selection and packagingPlace prepared orders in the correct dock slips for loading onto shipping trucksPerform visual inspections to verify order correctness and readiness for shipmentLabel order shipments accurately for easy identificationApply shrink wrap to prepared orders before shippingFollow warehouse safety procedures when operating equipmentMaintain awareness of surroundings and other workers while transporting itemsKeep the warehouse clean and organized at all timesQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentA minimum of three months of warehouse/store room experienceAbility to effectively communicate with staff in the delivery of materialsPreferredAbility to follow oral and written communication and instructions.Ability to analyze inventory levels and stock/restock supplies and/or stock/restock emergency transport vehicles appropriately.Able to utilize inventory software.Proficiency in use of computer for supply entry, calculator, motorized/hydraulic lift and pallet jack, electric transport cartAbout Corewell HealthAs a team member at Corewell Health, you will play an essential role in delivering personalized health care to our patients, members and our communities.
