Job Summary

An ATS Controls Technician perform start-up functions on selected systems based on project plans, specifications, and other contract documents. Provide analysis of building control system performance at an individual building level. Ensure documentation is accurate and complete. Provide project-engineering support as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Control program use, including: Trend Logs, Zones, Alarms, Reports, Back up, Graphics, minor DDC code modificationsCheckout of DDC (Direct Digital Control) componentsStart-up of Building Control SystemsCommissioning of Building Control SystemsRecord and update drawingsExecute field changes/directivesTroubleshoot component and equipment problemsTraining (Owner and peer)Assist Project Engineer with field tasks/coordinationPanel ConstructionField Documentation (As Build drawings, Check-out sheets, UL Panel Tags)Manage time to complete assignments on time and within budget

Skills and Abilities

Proven troubleshooting skillsComputer hardware and software skillsKnowledge of DDC Control Theory and ApplicationsAbility to work independently and unsupervisedExcellent interactive skillsSolid communication skills

Position Type and Hours

Full-time, non-exemptTypical Monday – Friday working hours with flexibility as neededLocal travel required

Credentials and Experience

AA degree in applied technology or equivalent combination of education and experienceComputer programming experienceBuilding Mechanical system experienceExperience with electronics and basic electrical circuitsMechanical and electrical system troubleshooting experience
