Maintenance Specialist IKinston, NCCompensation IncludesStarting pay rate of $28.30 - 30.91/hour depending on experience - paid weeklyAvailable Shift3rd: 12:00am - 8:00amMonday - Friday with some Saturdays as neededOverviewThe Mechanic is responsible for the repair, troubleshooting and servicing of all equipment. The specific duties are to include but are not limited to the repair and preventive maintenance of thermoforming machines and all auxiliary equipment related to the department. This includes all electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic areas of equipment.ResponsibilitiesPerform all preventative maintenance on machinery and auxiliary equipment as required and as delegated by ManagerRebuild all machine parts as necessary and installs as neededPerform prep work, set up and installation of new equipmentEnsure all equipment and machinery is operating properly during his her shiftMust be able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic blueprints and sketchesMust be able to read and use the following tools: ruler, micrometer, calipers, and assorted hand toolsMust be able to read with comprehension, repair manuals for machineryPerform designs, fabrications, weld and burn with torch as neededNeed some basic lathe and milling machine experienceEnsure that proper lock-out / tag-out procedures are adhered to while performing work on machines or equipmentAssure all areas around equipment are safe and keep work area clean and organized at all timesMust have overall mechanical knowledge in all facets of manufacturing operations and equipment to ensure operations run efficiently and smoothlyQualificationsMust have 5+ years experience in maintenance, preferably in manufacturingMust be able to read (blueprints) with comprehension and application and, perform math functionsMust be knowledgeable in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, blueprint reading (mechanical/electrical), understanding of welding and fabricationPrevious electrical experience with troubleshooting capabilitiesMust be knowledge on basic controls, VFDs, PLC and PCKnowledge of electrical repairs and dutiesExperience in using all common hand and power toolsSkills to service and provide general building maintenance#INDQSRCompany BenefitsWhat You'll Get From UsBenefitsWith safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
