Qualifications:
- Current RBT certification or recent school-based Paraprofessional experience required
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training is necessary
- Proven background in working with students exhibiting a range of behavioral challenges
- Comfortable providing support for toileting and personal care needs
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a school team
- Flexible, patient, and committed to supporting diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in classroom management, instruction, and individual student support
- Implement behavior intervention strategies and follow plans outlined by special education staff
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students as directed
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, managing behaviors with patience and professionalism
- Offer personal care support when needed, including toileting and hygiene
- Communicate with staff to report student progress or concerns
- Support students across various school settings, fostering their independence and confidence
