Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and developing customized treatment plans
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses collaboratively with physicians or independently (as permitted by your credentials)
• Guide patients and their families in preventive care, wellness initiatives, and managing illnesses
• Prescribe medications and therapies within your professional scope
• Engage in continuous patient follow-up and chronic disease management
• Work in unison with interdisciplinary teams to provide consistent and comprehensive care
• Maintain precise and comprehensive documentation using electronic medical record systems (EMR)

Qualifications Needed

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduated from an accredited nurse practitioner program

Certifications Required

• Active nurse practitioner license in Texas
• National certification as a family nurse practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a relevant specialty.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
