Summary

The A&P Mechanic must accurately repair and perform scheduled maintenance on all airplanes, as well as perform inspections as required by the FAA. 

 

Essential Functions

1. Fully analyzes all required blueprints, drawings, work orders and sketches to troubleshoot, repair and install desired product or part. Detects errors and corrects through proper departmental channels. 
2. Professionally trains and leads other employees in proper work techniques. 
3. Assist the shop with meeting schedule needs to make on-time delivery of the aircraft to support missions.
4. Inspects all aircraft parts for damage, prior to installation.
5. Works effectively with engineering in recommending design enhancements and productivity improvements.
6. Operates and maintains all required ground support equipment. 
7. Effectively troubleshoots and repairs all aircraft and customer systems.
8. Prompt and regular attendance.

Travel

Travel is required. As requested by the customer, travel will be for extended durations, including overnight stays outside the normal working location.

 

 

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
3. Minimum three (3) years’ of aircraft-related experience or have demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform all job tasks.
4. Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions. Thorough working knowledge of all current FAA regulations, IPC and ATA codes.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Prior project management experience.
2. Five (5) years’ of aircraft-related experience.
3. Prior training experience on 208B series, B300 series and Pratt & Whitney PT-6 engines.

 

Other Hiring Requirements

1. Valid Driver's License.
2. U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain a United States Security Clearance.
3. Must pass a DOT/FAA regulated drug screening.
4. Must be able to obtain a passport.
5. Mechanical and Technical Aptitude.
6. Veteran Status Preferred.
