MRI Technologist-Traverse, MI

Salary and Bonus Offer includes a $50,000 sign‑on bonus. Responsibilities As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high‑quality MR studies on site and/or remotely, ensuring effective communication with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers, especially in mobile environments. Pre‑screen patients for contraindications and perform aseptic injection technique. Produce high‑quality diagnostic MR images. Operate multiple MR systems as required. Communicate effectively via all channels to address concerns, solve problems, and resolve conflicts. Train, orient, and supervise new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR technologist assistants on site and/or remotely. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in positions R, MR, or ARMRIT, or eligible by contract. State license, if applicable. CPR Certification. Valid state driver’s license, as applicable. 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience, or enrollment in an accredited MRI training program for more than 6 months. No experience required for MR registered technologist (RT(MR)) or ARMRIT. Strong customer service, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills. Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs. Ability to work at multiple locations and local travel may be required. Preferred: Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience. Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT. 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience. Health & Safety Requirements The COVID‑19 vaccination is, or may be, a condition of employment. Physical & Workplace Requirements May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions during transport of patients on a mobile unit. May be exposed to a strong magnetic field. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease when interacting with patients. More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive movements of hands, arms, and legs; see, speak, and hear. Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel or crawl; climb and balance; carry and lift non‑ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or examination.
