Hunt Shop rules, policies, and procedures. The incumbent will learn to become efficient in, but not limited to, Air Break Systems and FHWA Inspections and the general repairs associated with them. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance.Job Description:Key Responsibilities:Shadow a more senior team member to learn to perform repairs to company and manufacturer's specifications complete work orders, and train to be efficient in company requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelinesUnderstand and effectively follow all shop safety proceduresMaintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers at all timesTrain to become efficient in routine preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, basic repair as it pertains to air brake systems, and FHWA InspectionsQualifications:Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age AND Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:Able to supply your own basic tools, or purchase through our toolbox purchase programWillingness to work outdoors in the elementsAble to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends, if neededPreferred Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalentAbility to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediumsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamProficient computer skills and/or comfortable working with a computer, including Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Ability to use time and resources efficiently and effectivelyAbility to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 50 pounds)Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)Trade school experienceThis position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.Compensation:Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
