Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for a Detroit facility to perform routine and complex testing procedures, operate laboratory instrumentation, and ensure specimen quality in a high-volume production environment. The role requires a science degree and relevant laboratory experience or certification.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
1+ year clinical laboratory testing experience OR MLS degree
ASCP or AMT certification preferred
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills

Compensation: $2,500 sign-on bonus (external candidates only)
