Overview

Join our hospitality team at Tru by Hilton Asheville Blue Ridge Parkway as a Front Desk Associate! Professionalism, energy, and genuine enthusiasm for helping others will play an important role in creating memorable guest experiences. As one of the first and last points of contact for our guests, you will help ensure every guest feels welcomed, valued, and well cared for throughout their stay.

You will be responsible for maintaining smooth and efficient front desk operations while providing exceptional guest service. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to multitask are essential. Positive and approachable attitude is a must and will help create a welcoming environment that encourages guest satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and departure, creating a friendly and professional first and last impression.
• Complete check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently while ensuring guests understand hotel amenities, policies, and services.
• Operate the multi-line phone system professionally, answering calls promptly and assisting guests with questions and requests.
• Respond to guest needs, concerns, and complaints with patience, professionalism, and sound judgment, working to resolve issues whenever possible.
• Maintain accurate reservations, cancellations, room assignments, and guest information within the hotel management system.
• Verify and update guest information as needed while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are properly prepared and guest issues are addressed promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area.
• Assist with daily front office procedures, including cash handling, drawer reconciliation, and other assigned operational tasks.
• Assist with night audit responsibilities, including balancing daily transactions and preparing required reports.
• Promote hotel amenities, services, and loyalty programs to enhance the guest experience and encourage repeat business.
• Follow hotel, brand, and safety standards and procedures consistently.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to assist wherever needed.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel front desk or hospitality experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional phone etiquette.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, data entry, and general office systems.
• Familiarity with hotel management software and reservation systems.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented when handling challenging situations.
• Friendly, approachable, and guest-focused personality.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and various shifts as needed.
