Written exams will be held on Wednesday July 22, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. at St. Bernards Auditorium located at 505 East Washington Ave. Jonesboro, AR 72401. Individuals who pass the written exam with a minimum score of 75% will be required to pass a physical agility test that will be held on Saturday July 25, 2026, at 8:00 A.M. at Fire Station 1, 3215 East Johnson Ave. Jonesboro, AR 72405. Application Requirements Picture I.D. will be checked prior to the written exam and the physical agility test. Extra points are given for having EMT, Firefighter II and Active or Honorable Discharged Military Service. Documents must be attached to application to receive the points. Minimum Qualifications Have High School Diploma or GED Have arrived at the minimum age of 18 at the time of testing. Have not reached the maximum age of 35 at the time of hiring but exceptions available for experience as a paid firefighter.
