Position Overview Security Officer Financial Facility Part Time Patrol – New York, NY Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Tue, 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM. (Pick‑up additional shifts available.) How This Role Works Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You are hired for a designated site and weekly shift serving as your reliable base schedule, with a six‑month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and security‑related policies at a financial institution location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or local authorities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the lobby, offices, exterior areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention. Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor access when required, and document daily activities, incidents, and/or security‑related concerns in accordance with site guidelines. Support emergency response activities by following post orders, assisting with directions during evacuations and/or other events, and helping to maintain order at the location. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
