Quality Engineer-AS9100

JSG is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our client's aerospace manufacturing team in Santa Clarita, CA. This is a 100% on-site contract position (6–18 months) supporting manufacturing quality, root cause analysis, and customer satisfaction improvement activities. The ideal candidate is reliable, exercises strong independent judgment, takes initiative, and stays composed under pressure. What We're Looking For Our top three must-have attributes: Takes initiative and drives work forward without being asked Completes tasks independently with a high standard of quality Leads cross-functional groups through timely and effective problem-solving Key Responsibilities Provide Manufacturing Quality Support and Quality Engineering expertise Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions to closure Partner with operations teams to improve throughput and process performance Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure products meet established standards Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities Collaborate with engineering, production, and cross-functional teams to improve product qualityPrepare and communicate quality reports, findings, and recommendations Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and company requirements Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on quality procedures and best practices Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a related technical field Aiken Certified Technician, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification AS9100 experience required; aerospace experience strongly preferred (medical device industry background with transferable knowledge is also considered) Six Sigma Green Belt preferred Strong knowledge of quality assurance systems, tools, and methodologies Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving techniques Ability to evaluate and improve processes to enhance quality and efficiency Proficiency in data analysis and quality reporting Strong technical documentation and record-keeping skills Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements Effective communication, collaboration, and cross-functional leadership skills Software & Tools Pay Rate: $50–$60/hr., depending on experience Work Location: 100% On-Site – Santa Clarita, CA JSG offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance options, short-term disability, 401(k), weekly pay, and more.
