Job Description Responsible for creating comprehensive damage estimates for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims, ensuring proper disposition. The role also serves as a peer mentor, providing guidance around established processes and technical expertise. National General is seeking an Auto Claims Appraiser to join our Washington team. The position is based in Renton, Everett, Auburn, or the surrounding area, and includes on‑site estimates and vehicle appraisals at repair facilities and customer locations. Key Responsibilities Apply policy content to interpret all company written policy types and assist leadership in formal and ad‑hoc training. Negotiate settlements, process settlement payments, and document all activities in complex files. Interpret regulatory compliance and fair claims practices. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers. Estimate damages for all severities of 1st and 3rd party material damage losses using mastering fundamentals. Supervisory Responsibilities This job does not have supervisory duties. Licensing Requirements Individuals holding an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments before onboarding and may not hold any outside appointments during employment. Applicants holding a resident producer license must surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team.
