DSL Express, a freight carrier with 20 years of experience, is hiring Owner Operators across the U.S. (Midwest, East, Southeast, South, Southwest, West) and Canada. Responsibilities Operate your own ClassA truck across 2000–3000 miles weekly, primarily on shorter runs. Maintain the vehicle to meet safety and compliance standards. Work with dispatch to schedule loads, provide route updates, and keep accurate logs. Comply with all DOT and state regulations, including ELD system usage. Complete routine inspections and record keeping for each trip. Qualifications Valid ClassA CDL with no pending suspensions. Minimum 2 years of CDL experience. Clean Motor Vehicle Record and a reasonable public safety performance (PSP) report. Own or have reliable access to a tractor; trailers may be rented if needed. Must be at least 23years old and able to pass drug and medical tests. Must have a stable work history with good references and no more than 3 moving violations in the last three years. No recordings of DUI/DWI or alcohol‑related incidents in the last four years. Must be proficient with modern ELD systems. Compensation & Benefits Very high gross percentages – 82% line haul with cargo and liability covered, or an optional 88% line haul with a $250 weekly deduction. $5 k–$8 k+ gross per week in the current market; annual gross $260 k–$364 k. Weekly direct deposit with no check waiting period. Fuel cards with a 30¢ discount off the cash price. Insurance (liability, cargo) fully covered by DSL. Trailer tag coverage and trailer rentals available. Built‑in mechanic shop at the Chicago depot for discounted maintenance.
