Registered Nurse - PACU

$2203.20/week -

Job Summary:

Provide advanced perioperative nursing care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit, ensuring safe and efficient recovery from surgical procedures. Deliver compassionate patient care while adhering to clinical standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer post-anesthesia care to patients, monitoring vital signs and recovery progress.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate patient care and ensure safe discharge from the unit.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, treatments, and interventions using the EPIC electronic health record system.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations, providing critical interventions as required.
  
  
• 
  Support pre and post-operative patients in a fast-paced, specialized environment, ensuring comfort and safety.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to all safety protocols, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, for optimal patient outcomes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (all Must Be AHA).
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 1 year of perioperative or PACU nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC EMR and ability to read EKG strips.
  
  
• 
  Have current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  
  
• 
  Be able to work a flexible schedule, including day shifts and holiday rotation.
