Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enter information into an electronic medical record.Primary ResponsibilitiesGreets and welcomes patient in personCollects demographic and insurance informationChecks in and interviews patient to complete appropriate paperworkDirects patient to their appointment or procedureDocuments any issues and resolutions in electronic medical recordUses resources, tools and procedure to complete registration for complex accountsMay assist in scheduling add-on appointmentsVerifies eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets results focusing on complex billing situationsObtains cost information and explains information to patient if necessaryCollects co-pay or deductiblesAssists and counsel's patient with application process for available financial assistance programsProvides technical or functional direction for employeesUses resources, tools and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queuesAssists patient in completion of request for information forms and submits to appropriate departmentYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital settingIntermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productsAbility to work every 3rd Saturday & SundayAbility to work every 3rd HolidayAbility to work on a per diem basis within any of the following shifts including weekends/holidays:Day Shift: 8.5-hour shift starting anywhere between 5:30am-10:00amEvening Shift: 8.5-hour shift starting between 2:30pm, 3:00pm or 7:00pmNight Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30amAbility to work standard daytime hours, Mon-Fri for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training scheduleMust be 18 years of age or olderPreferred QualificationsRevenue Cycle experienceGeneral office experienceEpic experience**PLEASE NOTE** The sign-on bonus is only available to external candidates.
