Associate General Counsel

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Provide legal support as needed by the General Counsel. Draft, review, and revise contracts and advise on contracts and other transactional agreements that are often subject to quick turnaround times, which could include procurement and services agreements, non‑disclosure agreements, and other business documents. Give accurate and timely counsel to the different internal business units and executives on a variety of legal topics. Conduct legal research on a wide range of topics. Monitor applicable state and federal laws, decisions from other jurisdictions, and industry publications. Maintain the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct and support the company's goals. Clearly communicate policies and procedures to staff. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS Juris Doctorate and membership in at least one U.S. State bar is required. At least 2 full years of experience practicing law, with some portion of that experience encompassing most of the areas of law stated herein. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines. Proficient legal research and drafting skills, and use of Westlaw and PACER. Strong analytical skills/attention to detail. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Clear, concise and practical communication skills (both oral and written). A solution‑oriented and positive mindset that openly embraces change and stretches goals. The ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing, and high‑pressure environment. Reliable, ethical, and trustworthy. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with communications and privacy laws. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This job operates in a professional office environment. The employee will be largely sedentary and required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. Regular use of a computer and office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer, is required. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office, reach in any direction, raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
