Job Description
Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Schedule

12-hour day shifts, with schedule varying between 10:30 AM and 11 PM.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 16 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty.
• AHA BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• Experience with Cerner EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the post-anesthesia care unit.
• Monitor patients' recovery from anesthesia and manage pain control.
• Assess and document patients' conditions and progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members for optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.

Compliance / Notes

Must be available to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
