Job Description Job Description Job description: Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and Straight Truck while ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, automatic transmission operation, and adherence to safety regulations. Responsibilities * Operate trucks equipped with automatic transmissions and possibly a refrigerated trailers. * Execute route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance (Samsara). * Possibly have to load and unload cargo using forklifts or pallet jacks only when necessary. * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage. * Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. * Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding any delays or issues encountered during transport. * Must be able to cross the Canadian border Qualifications * Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. * Must possess a valid enhance driver license to cross the border and enter into Canada. * Must be 23 years of age. * Experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers and Straight trucks. * Ability to navigate routes effectively and efficiently. * Previous experience operating refrigerated trailers is a plus. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices. * Ability to lift heavy loads as required during loading and unloading processes.
