Desktop Technician

Location: Employment Type: 3+ Contract with possible full-time hire | W-2 Pay Rate: $30/hour W2 (no 1099, C2C or 3rd parties please) About the Opportunity Epic Placements is partnering with a leading IT managed services organization seeking a hands‑on Desktop Support Technician to support a Windows‑based enterprise environment. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career who enjoys troubleshooting, working directly with users, and building their technical skills in a professional support environment. What You'll Be Doing Provide desktop and end‑user support for Windows 10/11 workstations, laptops, and peripherals. Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and user‑access issues. Support Active Directory administration, including password resets, account management, and basic permissions. Assist with Microsoft 365 applications, Outlook, Teams, and related productivity tools. Configure, deploy, and maintain Windows devices and workstations. Troubleshoot basic networking issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN connectivity. Document incidents, track service tickets, and escalad more complex issues when needed. Deliver friendly, professional, and responsive technical support to end users. What We're Looking For 1–3 years of experience in desktop support, help desk, or IT technical support. Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365. Basic understanding of networking fundamentals and PC hardware. Familiarity with ticketing systems and standard IT support processes. Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset. Ability to troubleshoot independently while knowing when to escalation issues. Nice to Have: Experience in managed services (MSP) environments, Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, or Windows device imaging and deployment. Why This Opportunity?
