Position Summary

Under the supervision of the PGNPRP Director, the Clinical Lead Nurse Practitioner supports the development, coordination, and management of resident clinical rotations and training experiences within the Post-Graduate Nurse Practitioner Residency Program.

This role serves as a liaison between residents, preceptors, operational leadership, and clinical teams to ensure a high-quality educational and clinical experience. The Clinical Lead NP also supports quality initiatives, workflow improvement efforts, accreditation compliance, and resident development within Unity Health Care's ambulatory care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and expand clinical rotations, training partnerships, and educational opportunities for NP residents
• Support resident scheduling, onboarding, orientation, and evaluation processes
• Collaborate with clinical leadership and preceptors to ensure high-quality resident training experiences
• Monitor clinical quality metrics, patient outcomes, and accreditation compliance requirements
• Serve as a liaison between residents, preceptors, faculty, and program leadership
• Assist with workflow improvement initiatives that support patient care and resident education
• Support program operations, scheduling coordination, and documentation compliance activities
• Participate in resident mentorship, coaching, and professional development initiatives
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support integrated, patient-centered care delivery
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and clinical best practices
• Support program growth, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, active Nurse Practitioner license in the District of Columbia required
• Current DC CDS and DEA registration required
• Board certification in area of specialty required
• Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in an ambulatory care setting required
• Experience working with underserved or vulnerable populations preferred
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and learners
• Commitment to clinical excellence, mentorship, and patient-centered care

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a residency or clinical training program preferred
• Experience coordinating clinical rotations, training programs, or educational activities preferred
• Familiarity with accreditation standards and residency program operations preferred
• Experience in community health or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) settings preferred
