Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered specializing in Pediatric care in Washington, DC. Job Details:

• Position: Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS)
• Location: Washington, DC
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RRT license; ACLS and BLS certifications; 2 years of experience; pediatric, NICU, adult ER and critical care experience; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric and critical care settings
• Additional Information: The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care by prescription of the physician. Responsibilities include the diagnostic evaluation (not limited to obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, performing tests and studies of the cardiopulmonary system), management, education, rehabilitation, and patient care for those with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. This role involves the application of treatment protocols and technology across all care sites, including monitoring medical gases and environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, pharmacological agents related to respiratory care procedures, cardiopulmonary rehab, and hemodynamic cardiovascular support.
