Position Summary The Senior Director, Business Development, is responsible for leading Bookmark’s regional growth strategy and expanding the Affiliate provider network across our Tennessee market. This role oversees field-based business development activities for our TN Affiliate network (including PCPs and Specialists), cultivates partnerships with medical groups and health systems, and drives execution against network growth, revenue expansion, and strategic market objectives. The role requires a strong background in healthcare partnerships, value-based care, and multi-stakeholder negotiations, along with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team. Significant regional travel is required. Primary Responsibilities Set strategic and tactical direction for business development activities in assigned market Develop market segmentation, territory strategies, and target lists aligned with Bookmark’s growth priorities Lead regional planning to expand provider participation across value-based care programs including but not limited to Medicare (ACO) and Medicare Advantage Pipeline, Forecasting & Performance Management Oversee pipeline development and deal progression across all stages of the business development lifecycle Manage forecasting, performance dashboards, and reporting to assess growth trends and market health Ensure CRM / pipeline utilization, data hygiene, and pipeline accuracy across the team Partnership Development & Deal Execution Lead engagements with medical groups (PCPs and Specialists), health systems, and strategic partners throughout the evaluation and contracting process Participate in late-stage meetings, negotiations, and deal structuring to secure new partnerships Coordinate diligence, financial modeling, contracting, and onboarding activities with internal teams Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Bookmark leaders across Population Health, Network Performance, Legal, Finance, Revenue Cycle, Data & Analytics, and Marketing to align business development with organizational objectives Ensure seamless handoff between growth, implementation, and ongoing operations Provide coaching, skills training, and market education to elevate team effectiveness Create accountability systems to ensure consistent execution and achievement of growth targets External Engagement Represent Bookmark at industry events, conferences, and prospect gatherings Build trusted relationships with provider groups, executive leaders, and community partners Strengthen Bookmark’s market presence and positioning through coordinated messaging and outreach Other Responsibilities Contribute to the design and evolution of Bookmark’s growth organization and operating model Perform additional duties as business needs evolve Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare business development, provider partnerships, value-based care, or medical group / health system strategy Experience managing complex deals, including physician enterprise transactions, network development, and value-based care arrangements Strong CRM / pipeline management proficiency with proven ability to manage and interpret pipeline data Demonstrated ability to lead field-based teams to achieve aggressive growth targets High level of professionalism, executive presence, and communication skills Must have reliable transportation and meet all regulatory requirements Compliance with HIPAA and all applicable rules and regulations required Benefits Enjoy premium medical coverage Exclusive Bookmark discounts A company-funded HSA Dental & vision plans to keep you smiling and seeing clearly 401(k) + company match Company-paid life insurance Vacation Exchange Program Much more awaits!
