Qualifications Valid motor vehicle operator license High School Diploma or equivalent Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred) Medication administration: 1 year (Preferred) Tube feeding: 1 year (Preferred) CNA (Preferred) Full Job Description Arctic Rose Assisted Living Facility is currently recruiting for the following position: Caregiver / Personal Assistant Location - Wasilla, AK (40 min. from Anchorage) Full-time or Part-time Start Date - ASAP Duties and Responsibilities – Assist individual with daily living and care skills such as self-care, meal preparation, transportation, etc. Assist individual on accessing a variety of activities such as going out to eat, the movies, shopping, etc. Works with individual and family in a compassionate and understanding manner. Maintain positive and effective communication with all other staff members. Redirect problem behaviors (behavioral modification/ behavioral therapy skills preferred) Maintain a clean, safe and homelike environment. Requirements: - Caregiver / Personal Assistant Pass drug test. High School Diploma or GED/equivalent; Minimum age - 18 yrs. Ability to perform multiple lift and transfers- 50+ lbs. Ability to pass State of Alaska Background Check. Valid vehicle operator's license and a clean driving record. Current vehicle insurance meeting the state minimum requirement. Physical ability to lift, lower, and maneuver up to 50 pounds. Working availability including evenings, and weekends.
