- Performing comprehensive evaluations of patients, ordering necessary tests, and developing tailored care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses independently or in partnership with physicians, as credentialing allows
- Educating patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and effective disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapies as allowed within your practice scope
- Managing follow-up care and addressing chronic health issues
- Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless, holistic patient care
- Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (eligibility to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong clinical skills coupled with a warm, empathetic approach
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, their families, and the clinical team
- Adaptability to fast-paced, patient-oriented settings
- Proficiency with EMR systems and comfort with telehealth technology
