Store Manager

About the Position Lilly Pulitzer is seeking a Store Manager to drive the achievement of budgeted net sales and operating profit for a retail location. The role requires high personal selling skills, client experience focus, staffing, and store operations leadership. The Store Manager will embody the brand’s core values, engage with customers, motivate the team, and create a “Casual Glamour” culture that chills clients in a sunny & spirited environment. Delivering Results Achieve or exceed direct contribution and budgeted net sales. Identify opportunities and develop solutions to increase traffic, improve client experience, and support sales and operations teams. Create strategies that deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual results while maximizing productivity. Plan and execute local events that tie to the community and drive incremental traffic and sales. Client Experience and Store Culture Understand the Lilly Pulitzer brand framework and immerse in the concept, clients, and merchandise. Establish a high‑performance selling environment that emulates the brand culture and exceeds client expectations. Build lasting relationships with clients through trust, credibility, product knowledge, and community events. Resolve client issues positively as they arise. Leadership Oversee financial management including payroll and expense budgets. Enhance store culture by engaging and inspiring others through Core Values and Core Leadership Qualities. Delegate divisions of responsibility (DOR) to achieve goals and develop teams. Foster and encourage skill building within DORs. Talent and Team Development Build leadership teams, collaborate, and coach associates to create high‑performing teams. Motivate and inspire staff by promoting a sunny & spirited attitude and a team atmosphere. Give clear, actionable feedback and encourage management to maintain high standards. Recruit, hire, train, discipline, and evaluate performance of associates. Adhere to compliance practices and partner with Talent Development to resolve personnel issues. Operational Excellence Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional partners and colleagues. Maintain inventory integrity and exceptional visual and operational standards set by Visual and Retail Operations teams. Qualifications for the Position Preferred: four‑year college degree; not required. 5+ years of management experience, preferably in fashion or luxury retail. Full understanding of specialty retail, including business development, visual merchandising, and store operations. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. High level of ownership and responsibility. Proficient in Microsoft and Apple technology; knowledge of XStore and Tulip is a plus. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and be on your feet during shift hours. A Little More to Know This is a full‑time, salaried, exempt position with an average 40‑hour week. The staff will receive standard company benefits. The role is based in‑store and may require flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the company’s Retail Holiday time‑off policy.
