Role Overview As a Behavioral Health Technician, you’ll play a vital role in providing direct patient care under the guidance of Registered Nurses. You’ll support patients with addiction, behavioral issues, or mental health challenges, creating a safe and therapeutic environment. Your work will directly contribute to patient wellbeing and recovery, making a lasting difference in their lives. What You Will Do Provide direct patient care to individuals with addiction, behavioral problems, or mental health challenges. Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment to maximize patient wellbeing. Interact positively with patients, offering comfort, empathy, encouragement, and support. Assess patients and gather relevant data to contribute to their care plans. Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver quality, safe care. Notify managers of significant patient care issues as needed. Join Our Team Qualifications What You Will Need Required Qualifications High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Minimum of one-year college experience in Behavioral Health, Allied Health, Psychology, or related field, OR at least one year of Behavioral Health Technician experience or applicable experience such as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Ability to physically manage patients in a safe and therapeutic manner. Complete BLS Heartsaver Certification during orientation and maintain active certification. Complete WELLE training within the first three months and maintain active certification (location specific). Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of experience as a Behavioral Health Technician in an inpatient psychiatric or addiction medicine setting. #J-18808-Ljbffr
