Location: Cornelius, NC 28031

Schedule: Hybrid — on-site Wednesdays

Compensation: $55,000 – $60,000 base + bonus (up to 12%)

Position Overview

The Commissions team operates in a high-energy, fast-paced environment, providing efficient, accurate, and detailed support to wholesalers, agents, carriers, and other partners on a monthly commission cycle. The Commission Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely commission payments. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong communication and problem-solving skills, responsible for day-to-day operational support related to commission calculations, payments, and inquiries. This role offers training and a defined growth path into a Finance Analyst or Finance Specialist position.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from agents and other partners regarding commission payments, discrepancies, and other commission-related questions

• Provide clear and concise explanations of commission plans, eligibility requirements, and payment procedures
\n
• Guide agents through the commission payment process and resolve any issues that arise
\n
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in data, commission calculations, and payments
\n
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to commission systems and processes
\n
• Maintain carrier commission schedules and other commission-specific resources
\n
• Audit and track down missing override commissions through the monthly policy reconciliation process
\n
• Serve as the direct point of contact for the third-party commissions loading team
\n
• Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential
\n
• Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports
\n
• Support the team as needed during high-volume periods
\n

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance preferred
\n
• Strong affinity for numbers and Excel — genuinely enjoys detailed, data-heavy work
\n
• Positive, go-getter attitude with an outcome-driven approach to problem-solving

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
\n
• Ability to learn and grow within the company's CRM tool
\n
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

• Passion for finance and operations

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
