Perform a wide variety of clerical work including typing, proofreading, data inputting, filing, checking, and recording information on records. Answer telephone calls; provide information to callers or route to appropriate staff members; take messages. Greets and assists office visitors. Type documents concerning school information for students and parents – e.g., newsletters, correspondence, etc. Use word processing equipment to type correspondence, forms, and memoranda; proofread products. Duplicate information on photocopying equipment; answer staff questions concerning equipment operation. Perform minor photocopy machine maintenance such as adding toner and general cleaning; alert Tech Department or contract provider if service is needed. Utilize School Tool for data entry and to look up student records to assist parents. May supervise students who come to the office; monitor behaviors. Receive, screen, sort, date stamp, and route incoming mail. Perform related duties as assigned. Perform various projects as assigned by administration. Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge of applications such as Google Sheets and Docs. Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Perform general office-clerical duties.
