We are looking for an HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations in Sparta, Tennessee. This position plays an important role in hiring coordination, employee onboarding, records administration, benefits support, and payroll-related activities. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, strong organization skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism. This role also contributes to compliance tracking, training coordination, and broader administrative support across the business.

Responsibilities:
• Manage recruiting logistics by preparing postings, reviewing applicant materials, arranging interviews, and completing pre-employment reference checks.
• Lead new employee setup by organizing orientation activities, collecting required documentation, and helping new hires transition smoothly into the organization.
• Maintain accurate personnel records and keep HR data current while protecting confidential employee information.
• Respond to routine employee inquiries related to workplace policies, benefit programs, attendance matters, and payroll questions.
• Support benefits administration by processing enrollments, status changes, separations, and open enrollment communications.
• Review timekeeping information, assist with payroll preparation, and verify that employee updates are reflected correctly.
• Monitor leave administration, workers’ compensation matters, and other HR compliance obligations to help ensure timely follow-up and documentation.
• Prepare reports and assist with internal reviews and regulatory audit support while coordinating training records, employee engagement activities, and general HR communications.
• Provide additional administrative assistance to other departments, including commercial and finance, as needed.• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in an HR support, HR coordinator, or generalist capacity.
• Familiarity with HR information systems and digital employee record management is preferred.
• Working knowledge of employment regulations and standard human resources practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across teams.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail with a careful approach to confidentiality and sensitive information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
