Radiation Therapist

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 5 × 8 hr shifts, 40 hrs/week; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, or as treatment volume dictates.

Job Description: The Radiation Therapist is responsible for the delivery of radiation treatments utilizing Varian Truebeam and Halcyon machines. This role requires a focus on patient care, the ability to operate advanced radiation equipment, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments according to the prescribed plan.
• Monitor patients during treatment for safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments administered.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated according to safety standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
• Experience with Varian Truebeam and Halcyon machines is preferred.
