Staff Accountant / Accounts Payable

Kona Kai San Diego Resort is a boutique urban resort located on Shelter Island. With 170 guestrooms, the resort houses Vessel Restaurant + Bar, SpaTerre, a marina, and a private club, all within minutes of downtown San Diego. We are looking for a positive, self‑motivated individual to join our team as a Staff Accountant / Accounts Payable. Responsibilities Process high volume accounts payable invoices and pay vendors within terms. Perform three‑way match (PO‑Invoice‑Receiver) to ensure disbursement records are accurate. Maintain vendor information including COI and W‑9. Ensure compliance with NHHR internal control policies and procedures related to accounts payable. Serve as hotel general cashier and prepare daily marina deposit to the bank. Maintain accurate and detailed accounts payable files. Complete monthly A/P accruals as required (purchase orders, checklist, invoice). Issue annual 1099s to IRS and vendors. Minimum Qualifications 1–3 years of prior high‑volume accounts payable experience. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong time‑management skills to complete all work in allotted time. Ability to multi‑task. Excellent attention to detail to meet both internal and external client needs. Excellent problem‑resolution skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Compensation Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour; Overtime: $34.50 – $37.50 per hour. Meal provided every shift. Travel discounts at Noble House Hotels and partner resorts.
