Staff Nurse - Operating Room (OR) Location: Health Science Campus Hospital, Toledo, OH. Job Description Maintains standards of professional nursing practice and coordinates total nursing care for patients with consideration of their specific age needs. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with other health care professionals. Minimum Qualifications Active RN licensure in the State of Ohio. BLS required. Willing to rotate shifts and units. May be required to assume Charge Nurse role. Physical requirements: visual acuity 20/20 (corrected) including color vision; ability to hear; ability to orally communicate; good manual dexterity; ability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally; ability to stand and walk frequently; ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently; ability to perform CPR. Communication and skills: exhibits accuracy, integrity and flexibility; punctual and dependable; possesses organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Works independently and effectively under minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication; group facilitation skills. Demonstrated ability in conflict negotiation and diplomacy/tact in potentially volatile situations. Preferred Qualifications Previous cardiothoracic and vascular surgical nursing experience.
