As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will use preferred access control and badge experience to support authorized entry while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeTue05:00 AM - 01:00 PMThur05:00 AM - 01:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain awareness of activity at government facilities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns. Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site-specific requirements. Minimum Requirements Access control and badge experience is preferred. A Guard Card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
