Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,152 per week

Position Travel Nurse RN – Med Surg (Rome, NY) Assignment Details 13-week assignment; 36 hours per week; 12‑hour night shifts. Employment type: Travel. Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs. Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments ordered by a physician. Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families. Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients. Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication; report any adverse reactions. Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs. Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examinations and treatments. Educate patients on surgical procedures. Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician. Qualifications 1–2 years of recent acute care experience. BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience. Additional certifications may be required prior to assignment. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients.
