Interventional Radiologic Technologist (Full-Time)

Location: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD

Setting: Primary Care Services for Active Duty Service Members

Position Overview:

USGP is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. This is a full-time opportunity to support active duty service members in a dynamic and mission-driven healthcare environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $70.00/hour + Health and Welfare Stipend
\n
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
\n
• On-Call Pay: $12.00/hour - (rotating schedule)
\n
• Call-Back Pay: Time and a half
\n
• Full Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and 401(k)

• Paid Time Off and Sick Leave Available

Minimum Qualifications:

\n
• Education: Graduate of an Interventional Radiology Technologist program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
\n
• Certification: Current Certificate in Vascular-Interventional Radiology (VI)
\n
• Additional Certifications: Valid BLS (American Heart Association preferred)
\n
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in interventional radiology
\n

Immunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain):

\n
• Hepatitis B (series and titer)
\n
• Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
\n
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
\n
• Varicella (Chickenpox)
\n
• TB (Tuberculosis) test
\n
• Seasonal Influenza (flu) vaccine
\n
• COVID-19 vaccine (if applicable)
\n

Primary Responsibilities Include:

\n
• Operate and maintain interventional radiology equipment and ensure proper use in collaboration with radiologists and medical staff.
\n
• Prepare patients for procedures and educate them and their families on pre- and post-care expectations.
\n
• Perform a range of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures in accordance with clinical guidelines and safety protocols.
\n
• Ensure age-appropriate care is provided, adjusting communication and procedural support as needed for pediatric through geriatric patients.
\n
• Maintain accurate records and assist with quality assurance initiatives and patient safety standards.
\n
