Heavy Mobile Equipment Repairer

Job Title

The duties include:

• Troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and maintaining a variety of heavy mobile equipment, such as construction, industrial, combat, tactical, and powered support equipment.
• Removing and repairing major systems or components of equipment to include power packs, transmissions, transfers, gear reduction units, injector pumps, air conditioners, fuel pumps, and alternators.
• Making idle speed, current, brake, and transmission linkage adjustments.
• Performing initial and in-process inspections; performing mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting to localize defects and determine the cause of malfunction; performing mechanical maintenance on defective parts; and performing minor body work.
• Providing technical assistance to unit personnel.
• Operating motor vehicles to perform the duties of this position.
