• End Date: February 6, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730–$1,820
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every third weekend and every other holiday
• Call and Floating: No call, callback, or float requirement
• Patient Population: Adult medical patients with conditions including GI bleeding, pneumonia, sepsis, and cardiac or renal disease requiring inotropic therapy
• Unit Information: 30 beds, approximately 30-patient average daily census, and a typical 5:1 RN-to-patient ratio
• Charting: Cerner electronic health record (EHR)
• Uniform: Ceil blue scrubs

PCU Travel Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse (RN) experience in a PCU, progressive care, step-down, or comparable acute-care setting
• Current Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a valid compact-state RN license
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate degree or nursing certificate
• Valid driver's license
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records preferred
• Strong assessment, prioritization, clinical judgment, and communication skills

Progressive Care RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to a diverse adult medical population in a progressive care setting
• Monitor patients requiring cardiac monitoring, oxygen supplementation, blood administration, and other acute-care interventions
• Assess and manage patients with GI bleeds, pneumonia, sepsis, and cardiac or renal conditions
• Safely administer and monitor infusions, including heparin, amiodarone, Cardizem, Lasix, and dobutamine, according to established protocols
• Perform peripheral IV starts and Foley catheter placement and care
• Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate care team
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Cerner
• Collaborate with providers, respiratory therapy, the IV team, case management, patient care technicians, transport, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families while supporting discharge planning and continuity of care
