Overview We are seeking a Manager, GCO Learning & Training (Learning and Instructional Design) to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of global training initiatives for clinical trial operations teams. Location Spring House, PA (United States). Additional locations are available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Belgium, and Spain. Purpose The Clinical Trial Learning & Training (CTL&T) organization develops and implements training strategies for clinical trial training and GCO functional role‑based global onboarding programs. This role supports the design, development, deployment, and administration of training programs that meet business objectives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and good clinical practice. Key Responsibilities Understand intended training roles and skills, connecting training content to delivery for onboarding and development activities of trainees. Design, develop, deploy, and administer high‑quality training programs for GCO clinical trial teams and sites. Facilitate overall training needs assessment with various teams to define training plans with clear learning objectives. Establish systematic learning approaches using available resources to design, develop, and deploy value‑added training solutions. Create and enhance functional role‑based training programs, including study‑specific training that oversees content development and manages projects and vendors. Provide consultation guidance, feedback, and support to subject‑matter experts throughout the course design process. Define and measure learning effectiveness, reporting on impact and identifying opportunities for improvement. Manage multiple learning projects and potentially lead an internal or external team of learning professionals. Coach and mentor peers in adult learning principles, new learning capabilities, and training strategies. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development. Qualifications & Requirements BA/BS in instructional design, training, instructional technology, education, or related field (required). MA/MS preferred. 8–10 years of business experience in education, training, or instructional design roles. Pharmaceutical or medical industry experience preferred; expertise in hematology, oncology, or neurology is a plus. Experience with organizational change management and large‑scale training initiatives. Excellent leadership, collaboration, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Strong consulting, influencing, problem‑solving, project management, and vendor management skills. Proficiency in at least one training delivery method: e‑learning, virtual, or mobile. Knowledge of ADDIE and SAM models, Learning Management Systems, SCORM standards, and instructional theories. Ability to apply instructional design theories and adult learning principles to blended learning solutions. Customer‑focused mindset, proactive, and willing to challenge the status quo. Data‑driven approach to training needs analysis and effectiveness evaluation. Familiarity with content authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, and MS Office. Ability to manage change positively and use change as an opportunity for improvement. Travel & Work Allocation Travel: 0–10% Facilitating/training: 0–15% Time developing content/strategy: 50–65% Managing projects: 20–30% Compensation & Benefits Anticipated base pay range: $117,000.00 – $201,250.00.
