We’d love to hear from you. About the position: This position offers the opportunity to help manage a dynamic multi-billion dollar corporate and leveraged finance portfolio across various verticals. You will work closely with our sponsor coverage teams and industry specific sector teams, risk management and our portfolio analytics team. The position requires a self-starter who can independently analyze credit and contribute to deal volumes while operating at various levels of seniority in different situations. About the department: L&SC PM is part of a global portfolio management platform and a pillar of Lending’s capital strategy. The team is considered experts on the individual borrowers and relevant industry subject matter. Responsibilities: Assist the deal team in evaluating and executing amendments, refinancings, extensions, and workouts, including preparing financial updates, models, credit approval packages, market comparables, and quarterly reporting materials. Take ownership of ongoing portfolio management responsibilities for a group of selected accounts – monitoring and tracking credit performance, executing transactions Identify new business opportunities with existing clients. Assume key role in handling internal system processing and data gathering and processing as needed. Review legal documentation and assist deal team in the timely closing and funding of amendments and upsized commitments. Collaborate with Origination, Risk Management, Compliance and Loan Operations teams. Qualifications and Competencies You hold a bachelor’s degree in economics / finance / accounting / mathematics with excellent results. An advanced degree and/or a CFA is a plus. You have experience working for a US regulated bank and are familiar with all aspects of Fed / OCC requirements You have previously received credit training and have a solid understanding of cash flow financing transactions 2 – 3 years of leveraged finance experience considered for Associate Formal credit training is a plus Excellent understanding of accounting statements & principles Corporate finance background – financial market experience is necessary Understand debt structuring and able to make recommendations when appropriate Basic understanding of legal documentation Excel spreadsheets: three statement financial modeling skills are a must You possess strong communication skills – writing sample required You have strong credit skills – understand how to properly analyze risk You are highly detailed in your work You are self-motivated and willing to work in a deal oriented and deadline driven environment You can manage and prioritize competing demands You desire to work in a collaborative manner in contribution of team objectives Salary Range: $155,000-175,000 The salary range listed reflects base salary only. This role is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus program.
