About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated Gastroenterologist for a 200-day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting Oct 5, 2026. This role involves 10-hour shifts with call, including one weekend per month, focusing on comprehensive gastroenterology care. You will manage general GI clinic and inpatient consults, perform a variety of endoscopic procedures, and treat conditions such as GERD, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver disease.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide general GI clinic and inpatient consults
• Perform colonoscopies and upper endoscopies/EGDs
• Conduct biopsies, polypectomy, and other standard endoscopic interventions
• Manage a wide range of GI conditions, including GERD, Barretts, IBD/Crohns, celiac disease, cirrhosis/liver disease, and GI bleeding

Additional Information

• Required Board Certifications: Gastroenterology
• EMR: Epic
• Call Schedule: One weekend per month of call will be required
• ERCP/EUS is not required
