Job Summary The CT, Mammography, or MRI Dual Registered Technologist reports to the Imaging Director. Under general supervision, the technologist performs high‑quality radiology and CT/Mammo/MRI examinations on patient populations ranging from neonate to geriatric, for interpretation by a physician. Key Responsibilities Operates imaging equipment—radiology, CT, mammography, or MRI—following radiation safety guidelines based on hospital policy and regulatory requirements. Provides radiographic support for all areas of the hospital as needed. Positions patients accurately for specific anatomic imaging using appropriate immobilization devices when required. Avoids excessive repeated examinations by following established guidelines. Minimum Training and Education Associate’s Degree or equivalent. Graduate of an AMA‑approved school or training program, a 24‑month approved School of Radiologic Technology, or other approved training (e.g., military). Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA). Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations One‑year experience as a registered radiological technologist and CT, mammography, or MRI technician. Certification required in the modality area following radiology certification. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers or AHA recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider). Physical Requirements Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors, working from elevated areas, and working in confined or cramped spaces. Ability to perform job functions from kneeling positions, bend at the waist, and squat. Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder motions. Ability to reach in all directions and possess good finger dexterity. Ability to fully use both legs and both hands/arms. Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. unassisted, lift objects 15 lbs. from/to 36 inches unassisted, and lift from 36 inches to overhead 15 lbs. as needed. Maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes; ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance; ability to match or discriminate between colors; and maintain depth perception. Maintain hearing acuity, with correction; maintain good tactile sensory functions; and maintain good olfactory sensory function. Qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required. Additional Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. At least 2 years of multi‑modality experience. Must hold ARRT Advanced Modality Registration and SCRQSA license.
