Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday | 8:00 PM- 8:00 AM

Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a reliable Unarmed Security Officer to provide overnight coverage at an assigned location. This position involves routine patrols, access monitoring, security observations, incident response, and detailed shift documentation.

This role is a good fit for someone who remains attentive during extended overnight hours, works well without constant supervision, and can communicate clearly when a situation requires attention. Officers are expected to follow established procedures while maintaining a professional and visible presence throughout their shifts.

Responsibilities

Overnight Patrol & Inspections

• Complete assigned interior and exterior rounds according to established schedules.
• Inspect buildings, entrances, parking areas, walkways, and surrounding areas.
• Watch for suspicious activity, property damage, safety hazards, unsecured areas, or other unusual conditions.
• Maintain awareness of activity throughout the assigned location.
• Conduct patrols in accordance with designated routes and post orders.
• Maintain a visible security presence during routine rounds.
• Identify and promptly report maintenance, safety, or security concerns.
• Recheck designated areas when directed by post instructions or supervisory personnel.

Access Monitoring

• Observe entrances, exits, and other designated access points.
• Verify individuals, visitors, or contractors when required by assignment procedures.
• Follow established visitor and access-control practices.
• Report unusual activity, unauthorized access, or irregular conditions.
• Help maintain orderly movement through controlled areas.
• Protect access-related information and follow applicable security procedures.
• Notify the appropriate personnel when an access-control concern cannot be resolved within the scope of the assignment.

Handling Security Incidents

• Respond to alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity, and other reported concerns.
• Evaluate situations carefully and follow established response procedures.
• Maintain composure when dealing with unexpected or stressful circumstances.
• Notify supervisors or designated contacts regarding significant incidents.
• Request emergency assistance when circumstances require immediate outside support.
• Follow company policies, post orders, and emergency procedures when responding to incidents.
• Preserve accurate information about events for subsequent reporting and shift communication.

Reports & Shift Communication

• Complete daily activity logs and required patrol documentation.
• Prepare incident reports for security-related events, unusual activity, alarms, or other noteworthy occurrences.
• Record relevant times, locations, observations, actions, and notifications.
• Communicate important information to supervisors and designated contacts.
• Provide accurate updates during shift changes and supervisor check-ins.
• Use assigned electronic reporting applications and equipment appropriately.
• Review documentation for accuracy before completing each shift.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening.
• Strong observation and attention-to-detail skills.
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication.
• Ability to remain alert during a 12-hour overnight shift .
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to understand and follow written instructions, post orders, and established procedures.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods while completing patrols and inspections.
• Ability to respond appropriately to unexpected situations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security, military, law enforcement, or related experience.
• Experience conducting foot patrols, property checks, or security inspections.
• Familiarity with incident reporting and daily activity documentation.
• Experience using mobile applications or electronic reporting platforms.
• Ability to identify developing security concerns and determine when they require escalation.
• Previous experience working independently during overnight or extended shifts.
