Interim Controller (Contract) Kent, WA | Onsite | 6-8 Week Contract Seattle Search Group is partnering with a well-established company in South King County to identify an Interim Controller for an immediate 6-8 week contract . This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who can quickly step in, oversee the accounting function, and keep the department running smoothly during a transition. Responsibilities Lead the month-end close process. Prepare and review financial statements, including monthly P&L reporting. Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Oversee general ledger accounting and ensure accurate financial reporting. Supervise a small accounting team, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Administrative staff. Review AR and collections activity. Support cash management and day-to-day accounting operations. Assist with process improvements and maintain strong internal controls. Support the company's recent transition to QuickBooks Online. Qualifications Previous Controller or strong Assistant Controller experience. Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience. Experience with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. Prior supervisory experience. QuickBooks Online experience preferred. Advanced Excel skills.
