Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 8-Hour Shifts (6:00–14:30 and/or 7:30–16:00) | No Call Requirement | No Weekend Requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients across all age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Administer and manage IV therapy, including starting and maintaining IVs
• Perform medication reconciliation, provide discharge instructions, and obtain operative and procedural consent
• Implement Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol and conduct pain assessment and management
• Care for patients undergoing Eye and ENT procedures including cataracts, tonsillectomies, adenoids, and sinus procedures
• Float to other area ambulatory surgery centers as needed on a rare basis

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of PACU or relevant RN experience required
• Experience in an ambulatory or outpatient work setting required
• Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs required
• Knowledge and application of Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol required
• Active ALS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Pedi PACU, Phase I PACU, and/or Phase II Recovery settings
• Familiarity with ENT, General, and Ophthalmology surgical cases including tonsillectomies, cataract extraction, and eye trauma
• Experience with emergency medications, narcotics and opioid analgesics, and reversal agents
• Skills in airway assessment, placement of oral and nasal airways, and administration of General, Local, and MAC anesthesia types
