About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Finance and Operations to lead the financial and operational aspects of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial health, compliance with regulations, and operational efficiency. This role requires a multi-disciplinary leader with a strong background in financial management, investment, and a deep understanding of global asset management. The Managing Director will be tasked with driving the financial strategy and operational model, particularly in the context of the company's impact investment approach. Key responsibilities include financial leadership, budgeting, audit, and tax compliance, cash and grant management, and strategic support for impact investments. The role also involves team leadership, operational and administrative oversight, and support for the Board of Directors. Applicants for the Managing Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with advanced degrees such as CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred. A minimum of 7-10 years' financial management experience, including a strong background in investment management, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and implementing financial systems, as well as experience in a senior managerial role with team supervision. Expertise in accounting, financial planning, and operations management is essential, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The role demands a leader who is adept at fostering a positive organizational culture, is committed to community-based decision-making, and is willing to engage with the company's AI policy development.
