Job Title: Double Quick Deli Manager Reports To: Store Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly Role Type: Full-time Working Hours: This position requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Weekly hours will vary depending on business needs. Job Summary: The Double Quick Deli Manager plays a key role in leading deli operations and ensuring all company standards, policies, and food safety regulations are met. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and customer-focused environment, managing inventory and food costs, and fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability. The Deli Manager supports Refuel’s mission by delivering quality products, exceptional service, and strong financial performance. Job Duties and Responsibilities Lead and develop a team that delivers friendly, efficient, and high-quality service. Oversee all deli operations, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Manage inventory levels, ordering, and waste control to meet company and financial goals. Analyze sales and financial data to identify opportunities and improve profitability. Ensure food quality, freshness, and proper product presentation at all times. Recruit, train, and coach team members to achieve performance and service standards. Schedule and supervise deli staff to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency. Maintain vendor relationships and verify order accuracy and product quality. Support a clean, safe, and compliant work environment by conducting regular inspections. Model professional behavior, uphold company policies, and perform additional duties as needed. Adhere to the Company’s established policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities An ideal candidate will have experience with or understanding of: Proven success in developing team members. Demonstrated ability to use P&L and store reports to affect change. Ability to exercise sound judgment and work with minimum supervision. Strong customer service and communication skills with a friendly, helpful attitude. Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Organized and efficient with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Honest, dependable, and willing to learn new tasks and take initiative. Education and Experience An ideal candidate will have the following education and experience: Previous retail, food service, or customer service experience. On-the-job training is provided for all new team members. Working environment and physical requirements Must be 18 years or older to apply Must be able to stand during the entire work shift. Must be able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 35 degrees for up to 30 minutes. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have visual acuity to check identification and process money orders. Must be able to tolerate gas fumes and cleaning products. Must be able to climb a ladder to clean windows.
