As our restaurant continues to grow, we’re looking for a talented Bartender/Server to join our dynamic team. Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bartender/Server to provide exceptional service to our guests at Copal Contemporary. This dual role requires proficiency in crafting high-quality cocktails and beverages while also serving tables to ensure a seamless dining experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, has strong bartending skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities: Bartending: Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, adhering to Copal Contemporary’s recipes and standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area. Engage with guests at the bar, providing recommendations and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Monitor inventory and assist with restocking bar supplies as needed. Serving: Take food and drink orders, provide menu recommendations, and ensure timely delivery of items to guests. Deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating guest needs and ensuring satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to maintain smooth operations during busy shifts. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, following restaurant protocols. General Duties: Uphold Copal Contemporary’s high standards for cleanliness, safety, and hospitality. Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the bar and dining areas. Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and maintaining professionalism. Qualifications: Proven bartending experience with strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, mixology, and beverage service. Previous serving experience in a high-volume restaurant is a plus. Excellent customer service and communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Mexican cuisine, culture, and beverages (e.g., tequila, mezcal) is a bonus. Must be 21+ and hold any required certifications (e.g., alcohol service training, if applicable in your state). Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
