Registered Nurse General Medicine

Job Summary As a Registered Nurse in General Medicine, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with department requirements and state practice standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team, oversee nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage,” and act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers. Responsibilities Assess patients’ conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, identify and report changes urgently. Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers, and document care thoroughly. Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and act appropriately to unintended reactions. Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to requests, anticipating patient needs, and resolving issues. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up, translating complex terminology into clear understanding. Qualifications Registered Nurse Licensure (RN) in the state of employment. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Bachelor’s degree.
